   Okay, after much hair-pulling and gnashing of teeth, the site is UP!!

   It's not done, or anything silly like that, but it IS up.

   Take a look at the death that Mark has dreamed up for you this time by pressing one of the "Game 6 - Start" links on this page.

    Now here comes most of the stuff you already know...but I wanted to make sure it was said, again (and I did change a few things...so you may want to take a look):


    Soon you will each receive your first batch of programming cards and 5 option (toy) cards.  Pick 3 of the 5 toys to keep.  Send me back a message with your 3 chosen toys, a name for your 'bot (no, you don't have to stick with one of the "official" 'bots and I've put your old 'bots name in for you on the site for now...let me know if you want to change 'bots), your starting direction, and your programming for the 1st turn.

    Your first turn will be due on Friday, April 28th (but, as always, earlier is better!)

    We will be playing 1 turn a week so please return your programming by 5pm Friday evening (central standard time, North America).  Make sure that you use your game code  [RR-6]  on your subject line.  I have multiple games running and I will need that to keep them separate.  I will run the turn sometime during the weekend, send you the results and a new batch of programming cards.  If I do not receive programming for your 'bot by the designated time, it's random programming time for you.  If you have something come up, let me know ahead of time and we can work something or schedule a shut down.

    We will be using the same coordinate system to designate tiles that was used in the last game.  Each board is counted by tile from the left then from the bottom.

Example: in this race the starting point is on the Fun House board 11 tiles from the left and 10 tiles from the bottom.  Fun House 11,10.

    We start at Fun House 11,10 and go to flag 1 at Beam Me Out 3,4.  Be careful about the portal colours.  If you have any questions about where a portal comes out, just e-mail me.  Also, remember that portals ONLY work for the SAME board.  No using the green or red portals to get onto a different board.

    Flag 2 is at Downward Spiral 7,7.  Watch out for the spiked pusher!

    Flag 3 is at Sorted Out 7,10.  Careful on the conditional conveyors.

    Flag 4 is at Fun House 5,4.  A quick reminder...you fire your laser at the end of each turn.  That means that the convex mirrors WILL make you shoot yourself.

    Flag 5 is at Sorted Out 8,8.  I put in a 5th flag because I think you really lose the fun of entering AND leaving the last board.

    All the flags do have strength 6 electrified force fields.  The force fields should be considered a solid block that you cannot move through or fly over (with the exception of the big jet).  The force fields have to be hit for 6pts before they drop. Any time a 'bot tries to move into the flag square while the force field is in place, it takes 1pt damage from the field.

    Any questions about board elements (especially on the new boards) let me know.

    Flags 1 through 4 each have 10 option cards (toys) on them.  They will be distributed by your fellow players.  When you tag on a flag, another player will pick the option card you get (players in the lead will probably get the worse options, players later in the pack will probably get the better ones).

    We will be using most of the option cards from the original game and armed & dangerous, as well as the new stuff that is listed on the site.  Several are too complex to be used in the e-mail format, so you won't see every toy.  I am using more than one option deck so there will be some duplication.  Any questions about how an option works, or if you need the exact printed copy on the card, I'll be happy to answer them.  When using an optional weapon or other turn programed device, let me know with your programming that you have it turned on, and what phases you want for the weapon.  Beginning options will be installed before the race begins (yes, you can use them on turn 1).

    I will be using only one deck of programming cards this time, so expect to see more normal distributions on the cards.  For turns that I need more than 90 cards, I will reshuffle and draw from all the cards.
