Tower
of Robo |
The tower was
four levels. Each shown with it's own board. |
There
were 3 different types of boxes to push around.
I love the little "Widget Works" boxes! |
Copies
of the lower levels were placed under the higher levels so you could see
where you would land if you fell. |
Level
3 was tough going at first. Later, after many of the boxes were
knocked off, it opened up. |
The
boxes with holes (black circles) could be shot through. |
The
boxes were just little wooden cubes when we left for the con. Mark
did all the cutting during the drive up and glued them together in the
hotel room. |
The
boxes with red numbers |
'Bots
could move up levels using the elevators at each corner of the boards. |

Speedway |

This
is a new version of Speedway (for those of you who saw it last
year). Mark is never happy and added some extra wrenches to make it
a little "safer". No flags, just three laps around the
track. |
That's
Mark in the center (the guy who does ALL the art and most of the design
work for our boards) and to the left is Scott, who will probably be
joining in on the next round of e-mail games. |
Mark,
John Huber (who has played more of our GenCon games than I think even WE
have), and Kevin (he plays Treb in the e-mail games).
Josh is sitting behind Kevin's left shoulder. |
Kevin,
Amy (TBWNN), Davlin (Twonky in games 6 & 8), some guy I don't know,
and Huber look on as Mark chastises one of the 'bots. |

King
of the Hill!
Where 'bots battle for supremacy and...um...lollipops, apparently. |
Check
out the screwy badge. I didn't reverse the picture, that's a limited
run, collector's edition, error badge (or what happens when Mark forgets
to reset his printer settings). |

Justin
(he plays Khaffest in games 6 & 8) |
Kevin
(he plays Treb in all the e-mail games) |
Mike
(he plays Proctoid in games 6 & 8) |
Amy
(TBWNN in games 6 & 8) snatching candy from a small child (I think). |
Dan
(who has dropped out by turn 3 as Fledermaus in games 5 & 6) |
Amy
and Mike looking overjoyed with their cards. |
Paul
(who should have been playing since last year, but Mark and I are REALLY
bad with remembering names)
(UPDATE: he's joined in on game 6 as TermNL) |
Amy
very pleased with herself (I think she just killed someone) and Mike
either acting like Snidely Whiplash...or picking his nose. |

Josh
(playing as MS-Daisy in game 7) is seen here on Sunday after GenCon.
I believe he was trying to show us something about how the bible tells us
that we will all go to hell for eating fish, or some such. You can
never really be certain with Josh. |
Galen
(sitting to the far right) is looking terribly excited as Mark explains
the finer points of 'bot wrangling.
When not fighting sleep at conventions, Galen plays Lizard in game 6. |
I
don't have a pics of Tina, Nancy, Richard, Sean (well, that may be a good
thing), Nick, or Ted (hey, this may not be so bad after all).
These people need to get to GenCon (and in front of my camera). |
A
theater just down the street from our hotel room.
I REALLY wanted to go see the movie playing on screen 6! |

Mark
(Crabbot in all the e-mail games) in his usual "get that camera away
from me" pose. Check out the cool original shirt. |
...um...some
guy who sat down and wouldn't go away.
If you look carefully you can see David's leg to the right (Twonky in game 7 and Loki in
game 8). |
